I’m simply listing the songs that appeared in those shows.] From 1970 to 1988, Casey Kasem (aka Shaggy on Scooby-Doo) hosted a weekly radio countdown program featuring the week’s top 40 songs. It came on Sunday mornings. Sirius XM 70s on 7 aired the inaugural AT 40 (which originally aired July 4, 1970) on July 4, 2013, as part of a special July 4 broadcast.
